Happy accidents and destiny! I ordered canvases, having not read the description properly. I received 10 x 10 cm tiny (for me – as I usually paint bigger pieces) As these are oils paints – once dry and varnished. They will be available for sale on my new Etsy selling page.
I’m pretty obsessed at the moment with painting vibrant abstract landscapes. Being short sighted. Without eyesight correction. I see colourful blurs. The need to travel and adventure to beautiful places is desired after those 2 years 2020/2021 locked down due to the pandemic. Artistically – it was the catalyst for me getting back into painting. It makes me so happy. These are all created in a healing environment and Reiki energized. The changing skies to me are some of the most beautiful experiences that my eyes can witness. Inspired by my love of trees. I began this piece in 2021. Left it a while to dry. Then on a dark January evening. I added blossom, gold, silvers, greens and yellow. Drying before its varnish. I also used a recycled canvas. Watch the making of it below.
It’s 2022. We made it! The story behind my reasons to create.. is ultimately well-being. Whilst leaving a legacy for others to enjoy. Accompanying my art creations with my music fills my with rapture and pride. Your enjoyment of my work is a beautiful thing.
After a December of various viruses. (Non covid…but who knows!) Far too many lateral flow tests and nose twitching. I’m blessed to have my own office in my day job. But mask wearing in a hospital, a cinema, a shop is relentless and unpleasant. No colleague hugging or fuddles at Christmas. MS Teams meetings are now the norm. Whilst some can work from home.. some of us picked the short straw in chosen career.
We spent Christmas in Portsmouth with Family. The sea air is a fantastic recharge. And a bug was typically super spread. I’ve got over being pissed off about it now.. as it’s inevitability was obvious….Keep folk in a bubble, but as soon as they are let out.. we catch everything. It’s not practical to live in a space suit forever. Humans thrive with love and touch. Whilst we are testing negative. I’ve very thankful and have been lucky so far, whilst being as careful as is practical in any given situation during these times. One wrong lick of a wall, a finger dab, a puff of covid juice that tips my immune system over the edge… and … well I pray for mild and no illness for all who succumb to exposure. I’ve had some rotten viruses this far in life.. Sustained wellness is a beautiful pleasure. Aim to overload oneself with happiness, good times and good health. We have little control when the bad time and sad times touch us sometimes.
In a world where movies ‘Don’t Look Up’ and ‘Songbird’ portray horrifying events close to the bone. What is one to do? Hermit life felt too isolating after the first year. Whilst productive..Illness has put a dampener on the new year. R&R, sleep and fresh air is doing wonders over my 3 day weekend break. Before I head back to work into carnage…
Today I needed to create… in between intermittent coughing and sniffling…Ange my partner has fared far worse this last week.
I painted ‘Chakra Balancing’ accompanied by a track of the same title from my Earth Tree Healing album Reiki. 2022 I’m investing in my art and music career. A bigger focus on wellbeing. Our wall planner is getting fuller with work, projects and play. 2 years of studying for a work qualification and being restricted slightly during the covid pandemic has been nothing short of challenging with bouts of anxiety, doom and relief.. it’s time to move further forward with positive intentions.
Once you let the ‘system’ control you – whether that be rebelling, protesting against it… letting it affect one’s mental health! The ‘woke’ actually living in anger and fear rather than peace and happiness. Focusing on what we can control. Sometimes ad-libbing is far more fun and making the best of things. As we do.. cracking on with our life’s work and ambitions. Art and music are colourful creative freedom. Meditation takes me away, my dreams are adventures. Just walking through a forest brings revitalising escape.
I meditate to enhance balance. I dream in colour. I see colours during spiritual sessions, reflexology, south therapy, gong baths. I’m experiencing wonders. Focus brings sweeter things. It’s simply makes me feel good.
I don’t strive for perfection or position creating a piece. The perfect circle, measurement, spacing. The expression of shape and colour. Infused with energy and delight for they eyes. Texture for the feel. Bringing new life to someone’s unwanted old canvas.
Time to take the red pill. Unplug from ‘They Live’ and adventure….

Whilst we are currently be in a bleak winter in many ways, creating flower paintings in my abstract style in oils on canvas is bringing some extra vibrancy in my studio. It is my escape and indulgence. Whilst I’m very much looking forward to the light, spring and it blossoms. I’ll be painting a few more flower series this winter. This piece was a commission.

The dark winter is upon us. I’ve been painting spiritual art pieces – connected to the LightBeings set.
These were created at LizianEvents Lincolnshire Well Being Show and this weekends Pure Spirit Events at Newark Showground.
I’m eternally grateful for being able to paint live oils on canvas (& transport them home each day without too much mess in the car boot!) and perform live acoustic Earth Tree Healing music.
It’s been a true pleasure and great for my wellbeing.
As the days darken and nights get longer, the comforting blanket of magical hibernation closes around. Evenings are filled of meditation and painting, good books, as well as (Netflix binge watching)
Pumpkin carving, weekend walks in the woods stepping on the golden, reds and orange colours of leaves nourishing the earth. Grasping the sunny days, like its the last one. Plugging the sad lamp in. Switching the news of nightmares off. Enjoying my cluttered ‘Earth Tree Music and Art space. Recovering from glue gun accidents. Vacuuming isn’t an option dues to the amount of tiny gemstones I’ve dropped on the carpet.

So I’m sat here on the sofa with the cats fighting, coughing up catastrophes, watching bad horror films and music documentaries. Licensed to be ill with the 2nd bout of lurgy 2015/2016 has thrown at me. I surrendered. Rest and recoup. So rather than feel completely deconstructed. I created. This has become one of my personal favourites. It sits in my music studio and adds further colour to the vibrations I create.
